1. Hungarian GP
2. Singapore vs Liverpool

1. Hungarian GP
Let's just get straight to the point here. If any of the Brawn drivers gets podium, I don't like it. If Lewis Hamilton gets podium, I also don't like it even more so when it's supposed to be my guy up there! And because of the stupid mistake by Renault, Fernando Alonso will not be competing in the next GP which is the European GP which will be held in Valencia, Spain, Alonso's home country. What a blow! I'm sure he is as pissed as I am!

After all that drama during qualifying where the drivers had to wait for a certain amount of time to find out what their timing was and then managing to secure pole, my guy didn't win and he was in a comfortable lead! What a freaking waste piece of race!

I'm angry and my sentiments were right when I told Effa that I trust Alonso's driving skills but I don't trust that Renault will help him win.

Oh and poor Massa. I just read that Ferrari will be looking for a replacement. An injury on his left eyes may affect his Formula One career...does this mean I won't see him in action in Singapore? What a way to end a career...

2. Singapore vs Liverpool
Oh I had so much fun eventhough I know not much of the lyrics to You'll Never Walk Alone. Atmosphere was crazy and I'm totally in love with LFC. I wished Gerrad could have made an appearance...guess I'll just have to see him at Anfield.

The dramatic Hungarian GP qualifying round
Sunday, July 26, 2009 10:56 AM

Massa is out after crashing due to what it seemed like the debris from Barichello's car. He crashed quite fast into the tire barricade and was reported to have concussed for a while but he was conscious on his way to the nearest A&E. But he is safe now and will not be competing tonight at the Hungaroring circuit.

I am so thrilled that Fernando Alonso is staring in pole tonight alas, I won't be able to watch him prolly driving towards podium because tonight I will be watching another Fernando and another Alonso (hopefully) at the Kallang Stadium when Liverpool meet the Singapore team.

I got my LFC kit ready (I just bought it yesterday at the Adidas store at Tampines 1) and eagerly waiting for the time to come when I can make my way to the stadium. Eight hours to go!

I think this is the best day EVER! I manage to see Carragher, Alonso and Torres in the flesh! Torres sits like a Greek God with the sun shining down on him,Kuyt is so golden,Alonso is so good loking,Mascherano is moody,Carragher is like a second Gerrard to me...I can go on and on.

I can hardly wait for tomorrow!!!

short day out
Sunday, July 19, 2009 5:25 PM

I just had to get out for a while and buy something. I've been meaning to buy new pair of shoes because I don't really have proper shoes for the new job. All I've been wearing were slippers and sandals because I will change to black heels in the office to match my uniform. But now that I won't be wearing uniform (yey to that!), I think it's fair to say that I NEED proper shoes. So that was my mission for today.

I've already have the shoes that I wanted in mind so this shopping spree was going to be fast and efficient...no! I reached Charles & Keith at TM and they say that they don't have it in my size. I really wanted that pair so I told them to check for me on where I could find it. They told me they only had it in my size at Great World, Marina Square and Junction 8. So off I went to Marina Square, impromptu! I've already bought one pair at TM so I'm off to get the other pair.

I didn't find any good reason on why I should wait because I'm already out so might as well just go get it! So now that I have two shoes I'm pretty contented and Effa will be paying part of it as a birthday present to me....aah birthdays...I think it's true that as you get older, birthdays are not what you look forward to.

Oh and when I was at City Hall area I spotted people coming back from the Shape run,the run that I fail to register for because I was too late. Well I have made a pact with Yanping to go next year. This morning I just have to make do with running two rounds round the estate.

The Half Blood Prince
Saturday, July 18, 2009 7:48 PM

It's been three days so it's not exactly a crime if I were to say anything about the movie in my blog today. Those of you who haven't catch it...well too bad! You've just stepped into someone who is quite a Potter fan and she watched it on opening day and she's itching to rant out her thoughts about the sixth installment of the Harry Potter saga.

And just like the fourth movie, I watched it twice! I'm not sure if I watched the fifth movie twice though. Goblet of Fire is still my favourite movie.

Things that I would like to see in the movie but was not in the movie:
1. Dumbledore's funeral
2. The memory of a certain wizard when he visits the Gaunt House
3. Gryffindor winning the Quidditch cup
4. Fleur's aka 'Phlegm' visit to The Burrows
5. Hokey's (a House elf) memory of Tom Riddle's visit to Hepzibah's house

Things that I was quite disappointed with:
1. That wasn't how Harry and Ginny had their first kiss
2. Cormac McGlaggen wasn't really interested in Hermione (as depicted in the book) and he wasn't supposed to be good-looking! Freddie Stroma was far good-looking!
3. What happened to The Burrow (Bill and Fleur's wedding is supposed to be held there in the next installment. Well I guess they are not going to include that in the next movie)
4. Luna wasn't supposed to be the one who rescued Harry from the train after Draco attacked him. It is supposed to be Tonks.
5. I don't think Draco Malfoy was marked with the Dark Mark...so that's like a question mark.

Things that I'm happy with:
1. Scenes from the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. It was simply delightful!
2. The fact that Lavender Brown was as irritating as the book. Jessie Cave did a good job!
3. Harry's execution of getting the memory from Professor Slughorn
4. Quidditch tryouts
5. The development of Harry and Ginny's relationship (though still not happy with the kiss)

Other Notes:
I'm not sure if everyone remembers but there was news last year about a certain guy who acted in this installment who was stabbed to death in a bar brawl in London. His name was Robert Knox and he played Marcus Belby. That would be the guy who finished his ice-crem, quite sloppily during Slughorn's Slug Club party.

Well that's about it. I'm sure there are so many other scenes to talk about but I just can't remember...I'm gonna leave by posting Tom Felton's picture of Draco Malfoy...coz I simply love Draco Malfoy.

Love the Hugs!
Friday, July 17, 2009 10:14 AM

I'm officially no longer and employee with the bank...how's that? As I packed my bags and shaked everyone's hand I was thinking "Oh my this is really happening. It's finally here!"

It was quite sad as I said goodbye to those who were closest to me and the hugs I got from those wonderful colleagues almost got me teary-eyed. I told them "Don't make this sad please." Coz we will still keep in touch. I'll put an effor to make that happen. Almost three years with most of them have to mean something right?

I LOVE this card!

I'm at home now listening to the radio and this is something that I've not done for quite a long time. I'm enjoying it. There's no need to go out and do something. When home is as peaceful as this, no one should go out...enjoy it!

Reminds me of Tuesday when I drove my parents and Effa to her graduation day from NIE. The PIE had to be shut down and everyone had to exit to Kallang and that was chaotic and a nightmare coming true! I dunno how else I was suppose to drive to NTU if I don't use the expressway. Thankfully for Effa's friend we manage to get our way back via Thomson road and enter the PIE back after about 1.5 hours stuck in the jam! It was horrible.

Well here's to Effa!

A growing Putumayo collection???
Thursday, July 09, 2009 8:39 PM

I met up with dear Yanping today for our planned weekday shopping trip. We had lunch at Long John Silver's and I had my usual grilled chicken wrap combo. Yanping surprised me with an early birthday present!!!

I was definitely surprised and then excited because this means that this will add to my collection of the previous 2 CDs that I bought.

I'm listening to it right now and am already feeling that I'm sitting in a cafe in Rome, sipping coffee (Yanping says on English drinks tea so I have to start practising drinking coffee!) So i've been home since yesterday having to take leave before I leave the bank. I took a photo of Izz wearing an Argentina jersey.

He only turned towards the camera when the flash started to light up. If not for the flash, the picture would be an image of his side view.

Was King Henry VIII misunderstood?
Monday, July 06, 2009 10:50 PM

I've finally finish reading 'The Boleyn Inheritance' by Phillipa Gregory, a fiction based on the lives of King Henry and his fourth and fifth wive. The book is depicted from the eyes of Anne of Cleves (fourth wife), Jane Boleyn (Queen Anne's sister-in-law) and Katherine Howard (fifth wife).

I was not really keen on the idea that King Henry VIII might be misunderstood. He's a...I can't find a better word...monster? He beheaded two of his six wives Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard just because they were accused of adultery...which by the way did not happen...well except maybe for Kitty Howard because she slept with Thomas Culpepper when she was still married to the King. But I wouldn't blame her because she was 15 when she married the King and he was 49! And he had an affair with Mary Boleyn while he was still married to the first Queen, Catherine of Aragon. So it doesn't make it right that nobody can behead him but he behead them for the same thing that they all did...or didn't!

I think I will wiki the King and read more about him.

I finally bought my iPod Touch and am spending too much time with it. I had to re-charged it this evening after my sisters and I took turns to play with it.

I'm so looking forward to watching videos in a wider screen because my previous MP4 player screen is so tiny. Thanks to Huang Xiao I can now watch Bedtime Stories and Twilight on my iPod!

And here's a picture of my wallpaper; the girls and I!

away from work
Wednesday, July 01, 2009 3:18 PM

Oh it was nice. It was a work day and I'm not sweating at work. Away from the hectic-ness of my desk where the phone rings at least twice per hour and I'm away from all the pesterings.

Instead, after my medical check-up, I met Andin for our long-awaited lunch and we decided to eat at Pastamania and I really regretted picking pasta over pizza. Their supposedly "Recommended" Tuna and Turkey Bacon pasta sucks! Why oh why didn't i just stick to pizza!!!

Thereafter, we performed our prayers at Al-Falah and then catch a movie at Plaza Singapura GV, making use of my complimentary vouchers. Oh my, leave from work and then FREE movie! Great!

'I Love You, Man' is frigin' hillarious. I laughed so much my jaws hurt! Kevin Rudd and Jason Seagal made such good co-stars! They were both so damn funny.

Then we had dessert at Swensen's because I need to satisfy my cravings for Swensen's ice-cream...yummy!
