The Art of Resisting
Monday, March 23, 2009 10:43 PM

resist:
-to withstand, strive against, or oppose
-to withstand the action or effect of
-to refrain or abstain from

So what is it about resisting that is so difficult? It becomes addictive and sooner or later you realise that you can't simply put it aside and you succumb to its' calling.

What is it about chasing after something that is forbidden? You tell yourself to be logical, to be wise but you act irrationally. You tell yourself that it is probably gonna hurt you in the end but in the tiniest corner of your mind said that you shouldn't care. You tell yourself that you have to say no but you said yes. You tel yourself to stay away but you go ahead with it anyway. You tell yourself that it was silly of you for doing it but you don't care because in the other tiny corner of your mind, you hoped that it would turned into something, you were hopeful that it would be something good for you. It would turn into something else...something that you have been hoping for...

this slow connection is irritating me
Thursday, March 19, 2009 10:58 PM

So the transfer was finally done. We're not using Singnet anymore and the telephone line is free! Yipee right??? Hell no!!!

I can't watch One Tree Hill on Youtube without pausing for so many minutes and everything is just slow. Makes me wish that I should have just paid more for a better connection so that I won't be wasting time! As this moment I'll say Maxonline sucks!

The abovementioned was what Jefferson said the first thing he saw me. Then he said 'Oh I know...you put on eye makeup.' Well it's now part of my job. I find that the quality of my skin are slowly degrading and I hate that this is happening. I had to turn to sleep to slowly rejuvenate it back to a better condition. Anyway I went to Jason Mraz's concert on Thursday and it was way awesome! Pictures and videos are in my Facebook profile but I shall post two videos here.

I'm Yours

He's just NOT that into you
Monday, March 02, 2009 10:41 PM

Let me try to summarise this movie in simple words. Basically it means that after the first date, if a guy does not call you or ask you out again, he's NOT interested in you. It's not because he is out of town, or he is busy with work or he lost your number. Girls should not be leaning on hope that guys will ask them out again if he doesn't call. Girls should just move on.

It's simple and easy, if he doesn't call, he's just not that into you. If he does like you, he will try his hardest to make it work.

And then there's the exception and the rule. Why is it all around me, people...well girls just seem to be able to find someone that they like/love. Further details as per below:

1."We met, and we just click. It was love at first sight."
2."It just happen, we fall in love and I know that he is the one."
3."We have always been friends, we only realised that we are soulmates recently."

So these people are the exceptions and that makes me the rule?

1.I went out on a date, say and did the wrong things and expect to be asked out on a second date.
2.I realised that I actually like a best friend, decided to tell him and then only to find out that he went on a date with a girl and ask her to become his girlfriend.
3.I thought this guy could have liked me because of the "signs" that he gives unintentionaly but he still have not said or done anything to confirm it.

I'm a rule...not an exception! It frustrates me a little. I told Effa I love ambitious guys, guys with a vision and she told me not to get my hopes up high coz he probably has a girlfriend so I frustratingly said "then I won't have a chance in the world!"

Effa said "Stay positive...you're the exception, not the rule."

It will probably take a lot of time for me to believe that. Until I've found the guy of my dreams, I'm labelling myself "the rule". Or should I put myself through a lot of heartbreaks like Gigi did until I found my own Alex?
