The strength I need
Sunday, September 30, 2007 10:37 PM

Just when you thought that everything had went so well, not neccessarily your way but everything seemed almost perfect, things started to get chaotic and you're thrown back into the deepest and darkest pit.

People say that you should face any fear that you have and just deal with it...just get it over and done with. BUT it is easier said than done. You're afraid of the circumstances you're going to face and the fact that it keeps on dragging just made it all worst! You may scream and cry "Why does this always happen to me? Why not them?" You get frustrated and your heart keeps beating so furiously. Then you keep having nightmares about it. You may forget about it for a short short while and when it comes back to your mind, you just feel like maybe crying out loud would help you get everything off your chest.

"What am I going to do?"

"How am I suppose to handle this?"

"What is going to happen?"

"What is my fate?"

All the questions you have...you yourself are answerable for it.

Just get it over and done with. Face it then just let it happen and then you will know what to do...easier said than done.

No preperations, nothing. Just face it!

The first email i received from Atiqah today was:

"eh kau sukah lah eh Chelsea kalah."

My reply?

"no i'm not, seriously. the first thing that came out from my mouth when i saw the results was oh shit."

I'm not that mean. After all the things that had happened in Chelsea I didn't jump for joy. There was a report on TODAY that Terry contributed to the departure of Mourinho but I couldn't believe it. Those two have been buddy buddy for so long...but I guess things can change.

Anyway i finally received the letter from SPH telling me i have won Neyo's album. I have to collect it at SPH @ Toa Payoh. I suddenly remembered that Irwan might work there and he did but I immediately was disappointed when he told me he is working at the one in Jurong which is the printing side. We chatted for a while and its nice to do that with a fren once after a long while.

Well gotta wake Effa up now coz she wants to watch Identity.

Everyday
Sunday, September 23, 2007 9:40 PM

I am finally done with my endnotes for the Business Strategy project and have send it over to Sean. It seems like i have no more time for blogging...well I don't have as much time as last time. Now that the fasting month is ongoing, I have little time at night to do anything else coz i'll be too tired. Assignment deadlines are drawing near and I have not start on my learning journal for Business Strategy. I have to hand it up on 1 October. I had learnt nothing much during the 5 nights class coz the lecturer was being such an arse! Enough about that, here's a video and also a picture of Iqah and Alyssya. They came on the first day of the fasting month.

Pssst...

Well have you heard? Of course you've heard. The Great One has resign! But some reports said he was sacked. I first heard it on the radio through Dan & Young. They were supposed to confirm it but I didn't get to hear it. As teh train made its way towards Lavender there was no chance of hearing it.

Then Atiqa emailed me and i was reminded about it. I forgotten as soon as i placed my bum on my seat. The work that was already piling did it.

So his resignation has become so big...issit bigger than Pavarotti's passing? This I can't be sure.

Fo half an hour from my train at Orchard all the way to the doorstep of my home, i was on the phone with Ben. We talked about Mourinho for a while and then moved on to other stuff like him finding a job to him not having T's phone number. His phone got itself damaged so he lost some numbers. He still doesn't know what 'jakon' means and i planned to made it unknown to him as long as i can.

Waiting....
Sunday, September 16, 2007 11:14 AM

I am right now in the student lounge at APMI waiting for Kevin and Sean who are 45 minutes late. I'm damn pissed and I don't care if the project will not be discussed throughly today coz I'm going at 3PM. It's now 1115. I need to solat and I won't be able to drop by Al-Falah because I ahve so mnay things to carry including my laptop that it would be difficult for me.

Where the fish are these boys??? Sean must have slept late last night looking at the stupid market and Kevin...well Kevin must have stayed till late at the hospital. I am nt sure if he's coming at all....

I have been using Body Shop products for at least a year already. The news of Anita Roddick's death was quite shocking. She was 64.

I did forgot about Dr Brendan but then came yeterday.

At about 625pm, i walked out of the office and made my way to the MRT station. Then i looked around and suddenly thought "Hmmm, about this time last week, i was rushing to class...Dr Brendan's class." and his face popped into my empty mind and that's when i started to recollect my crush on my lecturer. He should be back in Ireland right now.

Why oh why.....

Smitten!
Saturday, September 08, 2007 8:34 PM

It has been four long nights. My eyes were probably red from tiredness a few nights and I didn't bother hiding it. Classes resumed and this time it's for Project Management. It's definitely more fun than Business Strategy and Dr Brendan O'Brien definetely made things more fun...he is probably in his 40s but that certainly did not hinder Andin and me getting smitten by him. We love his accent so much we said it was cute...and then we decided he was cute too....charming as well. We love the way he said 'much' and 'must'...giggled everytime he said that. I couldn't get a clear picture of him but i think he looks like Jamie Carragher...a little. He's Irish therefore the accent...sighs (with a silly smile on my face).

Here are some pics i took.

This is a picture of Izzz. He is about 8 months old now and is getting so active which is the reason why i couldn't get a good picture of him plus i'm not a good photographer.

I will be starting classes again on Tuesday. Meanwhile here is a picture of last week's class which concluded in a sour note as all of us didn't get sufficient hints for the exams. Now I could really see the difference between a foreign lecturer and a local lecturer. I concluded that we, Singaporeans student, had been spoon-fed TOO MUCH!!!

Yesterday, i met up with Yanping for our Turkish experience. We tried the Iskander and Doner Pancake which i absolutely love!!!!! By recommendation from Effa, we tried the Pistachio ice-cream too!

Liverpool vs Derby County
Saturday, September 01, 2007 11:55 PM

This is seriously the most fun match i remembered watching. Awesome, exhilirating, full of excitement, totally wow!!!!!No exaggeration whatsoever. Six goals in all and it all goes to Liverpool. I was up from my seat when the ball goes into the net, yelling "Come on...go Torres go! YEAAAAAA!!!!!"

Alonso did a superb free kick which was probably 80 yards from the net. That was the first goal. And then Babel scored a fantastic one and the Torres scored a spectacular. Then Voronin who was only clocking five minutes in the game, scored. Then Torres scored again and the man who started the goals coming ended with the sixth. But i think the two players who were outstanding were Kuyt and Pennant. Kuyt kep on trying to score and i think he probably tried 8-10 times. His finishing wasn't tight. Pennant had given brilliant assists and i think had assisted about half of the goals.
