Turific Turkey
Saturday, January 31, 2009 10:50 PM

After 10 days worth of shots, 600 over photos, about 40 days worth of editing, my Turkey video is finally done and I'm so happy. It was frustrating to have to edit so many hours of shots and it's difficult to choose which one I should include in the video. The video come up to one hour 22 minutes and 22 seconds and i've burned it into a DVD. Effa came up with the idea to name the video 'Turific Turkey'.

But honestly, after all that editing and that re-doing, I find watching the whole thing a tiny bit boring. I mean I watched might have watched a certain scene probably 67 times in that 40 days that I took to edit the video...so when the product is finished, I just wouldn't sit the whole of one hour plus to watch it. Maybe when I have the urge to do so, I will. But for now my aunt and my cousin may have more fun watching it.

My one aim during this long stretch of the holidays is to finish my Turkey video. I've put it off for quite a while and my dad and my aunt were asking if it's ready so that they can watch it. I'm probably gonna spend the whole of tomorrow doing just that...editing, thinking and more editing.

It's tedious and need lots of re-work. At times I got frustrated so I just stop and forget about it.

For now, I will watch the FA cup and get my DIY pedicure done. I've also put this off for about three weeks and my feet are getting hard and dry it's disgusting!

Next on the Agenda

I simply can’t stand the old hags at work. They nag, scold, and irritate me so often I feel like putting my hands around their neck and squeeze it tight so that they will just shut it!

I’m young and unhappy with work and these kinds of people are just making it worse that it already is. I shall not put myself up to this pretense anymore…well nit that I didn’t make myself clear that I don’t like where I am now. I’m sure my close colleagues understand how I’m feeling and my need to get out of this horrible situation as soon as I can. I’ve taken steps to change my life and do the things that I’ve always wanted to. So now the third most important thing in my life agenda: “GET OUT OF THIS JOB”.

Include Africa
Friday, January 16, 2009 10:58 PM

Hi,

I just signed a petition asking Prime Minister Gordon Brown to include a representative from the African Union at the G20 - a group of leaders of the world's twenty largest economies - summit in the UK this spring. This will be a key summit for shaping the road the world takes out of the financial crisis, and it's crucial that the world's poorest people be a part of that process.

I hope that you'll join me in taking action here:
http://www.one.org/international/includeafrica/?rc=includeafricataf

This is an exceptional opportunity to get a seat at the table for developing nations. If they play a role in remaking the world's financial systems, it's significantly more likely that they will be able to reap the rewards of those systems. That's a big step in helping people work their way out of poverty.

Thanks

I had an early night when I slept at 930PM last night. I was really tired and all I wanted to do was sleep. Now I'm refreshed though I do feel some muscle strain in my legs and back.

So anyway I thought I do a short post on Sunday's outing with Yanping. We watch Elegy at The Picturehouse and then had a very early dinner at Pizza Hut where we ate a lot! The set meal for two was more for three. The pizza that is created especially for Chinese New Year was quite nice. I like the barbequed chicken dices. It's sweet and succulent!

Then we had Banana Chocolate cake at Secret Recipe...a sinful thing to do! Here's three of the pics we took.

I prolly should go get ready now. It's already 630AM! Time to go to work..

I've been lazy or simply just tired for the past few days to post anything. Ive finally picked up the energy to do something about this emptiness!

So I finally gotten back my photos and it's been signed by Fernando Alonso. I don't care what people say and I don't care if you all out there do not believe it...but I believe that Alonso signed it himself. So all you people out there can just shut it up and SHALL NOT destroy my beliefs.

I know this is long overdue but baby Haziq came into the world on 31st December 2008. This cute little boy is just so adorable...he's so handsome!

Time flies...
Tuesday, January 06, 2009 11:25 PM

Exactly one month ago and at exactly at this time, I was in an airplane that was bound to Dubai. I was on a plane due to fly to the country that had been on my mind for so many months. I was anxious because it's been 11 years since I was in a plane. I was excited at the prospect of stepping my foot on the land of Turkey.

It's hard to believe that it was one month ago. How time flies...and a trip back to 6th of December 2008 is what I'm dreaming of today and hope to dream of tonight.

So I should go to sleep now...

A night out with the girls
Saturday, January 03, 2009 10:06 PM

It was Friday night and I had plans to meet up with the girls; a long-waited reunion. We met up at Ramen Ten for dinner and I was late. Well for the first time after a long time, I don’t have to wait for people. It gets tiring.

I had a great time playing catch-up with what is going on with everyone’s life. As we reminisce back to the old days, we laughed. We were all Girl Guides so thinking back about all those days where we were “hip and cool” performing dances choreographed by yours sincerely, I couldn’t help but smile. We talked about campfires and how boy scouts were our “Guys to Look Out For” and how we dislike those St John’s ah-lians.

Oh! And how Mr Aw always displays his dislike for Girl Guides. I could vaguely remember how he was explaining a few things to us in Geography class and we came to a topic about waste/shit. So one of our classmates asked what happens to the waste and he said that Girl Guides will use it as a base for our campfires. We laughed so hard remembering about that and Faz said Yana was so angry that he said such a thing.

After dinner we went to McCafe at Shaw and sat there for another two hours talking and laughing away. We had questions about who is doing what now and updates from everyone on all of our friends and classmates. I had difficulties remembering teachers and how they look like. I only could afford to remember Mr Aw and Ms Chow.

At the end of the night we all received a message from us who had suggested for us to make this a monthly affair. I am more than happy to do that. The reunion was a good idea…an idea that I couldn’t remember who came up with. Thanks to Mas for organizing everything.

We shall meet up again next month. Until then!
