Staff CIP
Wednesday, September 30, 2009 10:19 PM

Instead of having contact time today, we had staff CIP and we made fridge magnets for spastic children in celebration of Children's Day. I am quite proud of my creation given my lack of talent in art. This is what Hidayah and I have done!

It was quite fun and I had a laughing good time with the rest of the teachers as we tried to put our best creative hats to make these special gifts for the children.

Maybe I could do some at home...

Long awaited
10:11 PM

Oh my I've not updated for a whooping two weeks! GASP! I'm just too lazy I guess and prolly due to the fact that there is nothing for me to update on. BUT now there is thanks to Formula 1. Firstly...pictures!!!

It was so much fun Effa and I have already talked about next year! Yes we will be going again and this time we want to be seated and prolly will only attend the Race Day. What made it so fun is the tire-breaking screeching noise on our own Singapore streets and my Spaniard got on the podium! I'm not even going to talk about the winner coz my Spaniard is on the podium and that's all that matters!

I can hardly wait for next year!

See how far we've come
Monday, September 14, 2009 10:43 PM

Last year around this time, dad, Effa and I know nothing about Formula 1. One year on and look ar how far we've come. I watched every single race except Australia (I was out with the gals) and Hungary (I was watching LFC in action). I know drivers by their names, know which team they are driving for and I know which country they come from.

Last year I watched F1 for the first time when I caught the Singapore GP on Channel 5. After doing my part of washing plates and cups (as it was still the fasting month), I immediately switched on to Channel 5 to catch the hype which was to me back then, unknown. I think that I probably started watching from then on and then fell in love with my Spaniard. Since the Singapore GP in 2008 I went on to follow the Japanese, Chinese and Brazillian GP. Then in 2009 I went to my first ever GP in Malaysia and in 10 days I will be catching the action of the Singapore GP on the Marina Bay street circuit.

CAN HARDLY WAIT!!!

Flying so fast!
Saturday, September 12, 2009 12:01 AM

Time really flew by so fast that sometimes days went by without any notice. It's already Saturday! Just two more days until the hectiness that is school! Plan! Plan! Plan! So much planning to do...is it all worth it? I admit that it's not easy but I kinda like this. I like planning and doing which is something that I don't get to do when I was working in a bank. So I should take this opportunity with my bare hands and make do with it and make sure that I'm happy with it.

I want to post pictures but uploading are not allowed thru the iPod coz it seems that I can't browse for the pictures I have in my iPod. So I guess it's good night for now.

It's the holidays!
Sunday, September 06, 2009 9:57 PM

I can't believe it...I don't have to come to school? But will I get paid??? I didn't think about that.

However I will be going back tomorrow to decorate the class and maybe check out on the things that needs to be done when the school re-opens next week.

Finally relaxation is in place and I will be at peace for a week before the chaotic-ness comes back again in 7 days. Better make full use of this!

that was a nightmare!
Thursday, September 03, 2009 10:37 PM

Kids will be kids especially if they are below 10 years old. They are untactful and when they do something wrong today, they'll say sorry and do it again the next day. So that's what happened when I came back from Teacher's Day holiday. They made me so angry on Wednesday it was disappointing. They apologized today but "oops! They did it again!"

But I'm still determined to make learning easier for them. As a teacher you sometimes can't always expect your pupils to appreciate what you did for them. A class that had low morale and motivation are sometimes clueless...so how do you keep them not clueless? This is a headache.
