There are so many THINGS to THINK about
Sunday, November 22, 2009 10:16 PM

As a celebration to finally getting myself a camera, I went to Vivocity with my sisters after meeting up with the gals for breakfast. The first thing we did was taking a number of pictures and oh I love my camera...look a these nice pics that Effa and I took!

Nur also posed for some pictures.

Star Cruise Virgo was docked at the harbour so I took some pics of that too.

On our way to Orchard at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, Nur decided that she could be one of the Cullens.

More pictures to take!!!

I've decided
Friday, November 20, 2009 11:27 PM

Such a spur of the moment! I'm getting my first digital camera tomorrow!!! I hope to get it by tomorrow! And I've actually looked around only today and I think I've kinda decided on which one to get.

I'm attracted to the Canon Powershot SX120 IS. It looks like a DSLR but it's not and I think that with this camera I can learn a few things about photography.

Then there's the IXUS 100 IS which looks so chic! It has a higher megapixel at 12.1.

I'm kinda all set for the Powershot. That's the thing about me. Once I have my mind made up about something, there's not much I or anyone can do to change it.

Lunching
Thursday, November 19, 2009 10:10 PM

At 115PM today I was raring to go home because I've been home very late for the past three days it was starting to get a toll on me. But at 1PM it started to rain and by the time I want to leave it was pouring so heavily it's impossible not to get drenched. So I waited and read a book. One hour later the rain showed no sign of stopping.

So Yaya suggested that we should all go for ice cream because it's medicine for her flu! She wants Swensen's ice cream. So at the spur of the moment Fauzi, Shao Hui, Ee Ling, Yaya and myself went to Changi Airport T2 and we were seated at Swensen's by 3PM. Just ice cream turned to a full lunch. I shared the Peperoni and Cheese pizza and shared Walnut Rocky Road with Fauzi. I was full and broke by 430PM!

How issit these two things can happened at the same time or rather appeared in the same sentence?

But it was a fun lunch out and I get to hang out with my colleagues outside of school. We could be ourselves and not be proper and quiet. I am very sure we were not loud because we were told to keep our volume down! We were unhappy. We were not in the library...we don't have to keep our volume down!

I'm definitely looking forward to more outings!!!

I look HAUTE today
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 10:20 PM

I love my new killer heels and when I say killer I meant it because it almost killed my feet. I really didn't realise that it was that high until I've worn it the whole freaking day.

Oh people love my shoes. I have girls from P5 complementing it and girls from P6 asking me where I bought them and I overheard them saying : "I want to buy the shoes that Miss Fadhilah is wearing."

These girls know fashion like a 17 year old. When I was in primary school I know nothing about primary school!

But something quite hillarious happened. When I was in the bus with the kids (after the Drama competition) I overheard a pair of girls singing along to Pretty Boy by M2M! That song was so 10 years ago lah! What were the girls doing listening to that song??? OMG!

So today I attended the East Zone Drama Competition and the girls won the Bronze award! It's amazing when you think that out of the 100 possible schools that entered the competition, we manage to get into the Grand Finals and we brought home the Bronze award! The girls were thrilled. They were already celebrating backstage after their performance. They said that they felt good that that have done this...it was already a win for them.

Weeks of numerous practices and they brought glory to the school. We'll be celebrating this Friday...can hardly wait!

Preparing for so many thing all at one time is really tiring. I know I've been there but I've forgotten how tiring it could be. I have to attend meetings this whole week and I am preparing the kids for the East Zone Drama Competition and the Grand Finals is tomorrow!!!!!!!!

So many things to do such as preparing props, making the attendance list for the supporters and I'm up till here (pointing to my head)! I'm pretty sleepy right now because it's been a long day. I left school at 630PM! Uurgh! Never in my teaching career...this is the first time.

I'm gonna enjoy The Mentalist right now so goodbye!

What happened...
Friday, November 13, 2009 4:16 PM

Yesterday, Yaya and I accompanied the Drama Club members to a master class held in Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School. The school is huge and I was awed! Iot was like a polytechnic campus!

So we went there and the instructor for the master class was Mervyn Goh. He's the one who always appear on that kids channel. So after two hours of activities to help the kids gain some knowledge on acting, one of them said "Mervyn is kinda funny right Miss Fadhilah?"

I was like "Uh huh" and in my mind "He's kinda good looking too huh?"

He really is quite good looking in person. I was quite speechless when he walked over to introduce himself to us. He shook my hand and all I did was smile and "Yeah..yeah." (smack my head) But I did introduce myself. So it was not at all embarassing.

I went home and after Maghrib, I fell asleep all the way till 1030PM. I was dead tired. I'm actually sleepy right now. I should prolly sleep!

But there are a few things I would like to blog about. Eversince I work in a school there is quite a lot of things to learn and realise. Today I want to touch on bully.

When you're working in a school it's very common that you meet siblings who are schooling in the same school. What I've seen so far are of a pair of female siblings. The elder one bullying the younger one. It went as far as physical contact and threats. It's quite disturbing to see it happen because it seems like a horrible cycle. The younger one will be so scared or have so much hatred for the elder one. I'm seeing all these with my own pair of eyes.

I was wondering if I had been a bully to my sisters when I was younger. When you are young you tend to be immature and not wise. You do things without thinking and you don't realise your mistakes. I'm seeing all these in the cases that I have faced.

It's quite unreal to think that kids nowadays are really really different.

What's happening???

Feels like I'm in a race but I already won first place
Monday, November 09, 2009 11:47 PM

I'm a lil hungry so I should prolly go to bed now and then I won't feel it right? There's not even anything to do.

And Nur who just got back from work about 30 minutes ago is now eating a small plate of rice and I'm just so tempted...aargh!

OKOK...KEEP IT COOL. I'M BETTER THAN THIS!

So this week is going to be one busy week. People are rushing to key in exam grades, and I'm invloved in the Drama Club and the kids are entering the grand finals of a competition. More rehearsals....more adminstration. Bummer!

The Plan
Sunday, November 08, 2009 10:25 PM

Ok, so here is what I will try to do starting tomorrow...I will blog as regularly as possible...just like I did maybe about three or four months ago when blabbing about almost nothing came naturally. I didn't have a problem. But recently...well since a few months ago, it suddenly become soooo difficult. I'm not sure if it is simple laziness or there was just nothingness a.k.a. my life is boring!

Uurgh....I hate to think about the latter. I do have things happening in my life...like work. There's so much things I can talk about. More than before when I was working in an office, sitting in front of the computer typing in data and checking details for customers and picking up the phone, answering irritating queries about bank accounts that are not mine!

But now...I can tell you stories that are so interesting. I have new colleagues, new challenges, new gossips....so why issit very difficult for me to express it. Why issit I spend more time blogging before than I do now???

A mystery....unsolved!

Gorgeous circuit
Sunday, November 01, 2009 10:13 PM

I know...i know. The last time I updated was last month! I was just too lazy. Days are filled with facebooking instead and that's no good! I should be more disciplined!

So I'm watching the Abu Dhabi race at the moment, lying down on the couch and typing this out on my iPod...how convenient. The Yas Marina circuit is amazing and beautiful. Racing into the twilight is a good idea. You can definitely catch the sun setting as the sky turns from light to dark. I don't know how that is affecting the drivers but it seemed like they do not have any problem with the changed in lighting. This almost looks like a night race because it is dark by now and lights illuminate the circuit like how it did in Singapore.

So many drama to remininsce as the season comes to a close. I watched almost all races live and I enjoyed all of it! I missed just two live races and am feeling proud of myself for that. After tonight I will have to wait for about give months before the season opens...so mow how am I supposed to fill my nights? I guess I will catch up on my Liverpool match count...if only they won't disappoint me!

Well nine more laps to go. I should go back to the race now!
