I'm back
Tuesday, December 16, 2008 1:01 AM

Hi fellow bloggers, readers and you all out there. I'm back in Singapore and not really liking any moment of it. It hit me really hard when the plane landed on this island at 7AM, Monday morning that I'm very far away from the land of Turkey...a place that I've grown to love and adore eversince I landed on it on Monday morning, 8AM, on the 7th of December 2008.

I can honestly say that I've grown quite sick of Turkish food but now that I'm back in Singapore...I want kebaps! Can you believe it? Back in Turkey I told Effa that I'm not going to eat anything Turkish as soon as I land in Singapore. At this moment I want a few piece of Baclava, doner kebap, iskander and skewed chicken...and naan with some nice tomato soup and please add some chocolate and rice pudding into the menu.

Oh bare with me people. When I reached home all I wanted to do was sleep because it was still 3AM in Turkey. My body has not shifted to Singapore timing and at this moment at 1AM (Singapore time) I don't feel sleepy coz it's still 7PM in Turkey and I would be having my dinner. I just had a bowl of Maggi Mee 30 minutes ago coz I haven't had dinner...if you catch my drift.

So I slept as soon as I've taken my shower and I was annoyed by the kids screaming in the playground and the very bright sun shining through my window. I was used to the "no sun" situation for the past week it totally pissed me off. I woke up...it was 130PM and I wanted breakfast. But before I got up from the bed I cried silently because I miss Turkey.

The people were wonderful and the city of Bursa and Istanbul has sucked me into believing that I belong there. I can't believe I am back in Singapore typing an entry for my blog. I miss the snow in Capadoccia and the serene atmosphere in Pamukkale.

I want to go back to Turkey.
