I am not remotely sure why I am writing about this but the subject suddenly popped into my mind when I was trying to sleep last night. I realize that during certain parts or stages of my life I was infatuated with a certain Chinese guy…yes, even all the way back in primary school!
Primary School:
His name is Michael Koh Kuan Hua. I am not sure if that is how his name was spelt and quite unbelievably, I remembered his full name. However I couldn’t remember till what level were we classmates for. It was probably until Primary 4. I remember him as someone taller than me. Just thinking about this gives me this warm tingling feeling in my stomach and spine. He’s cute and…well that’s it. I don’t really remember much. But I do remember this one detail where he accidentally cut my finger back in Primary 2. If you are born in the same era as me, you probably still remember how we used to use mahjong papers to write a composition as a group. So that piece of bloody big paper was on top of my hands and Michael took a pair of scissors to cut the paper and then suddenly I was screaming and my finger bloody. It was scary!
Secondary School:
His name is Stanley and I can’t remember his full name! I was in Secondary 3 He is very good looking. Back then he was skinny and tall and he has a girlfriend! But I don’t care. Teenage hormones tend to do something funny to someone’s emotion stability so I figured what the hell…so what if he has a girlfriend. And not only that, he plans to marry her. But I remembered that it (the infatuation) lasted for only a short while. Turns out that he went to Singapore Poly thereafter, although a year later than me coz he had to repeat Sec 3. Not only that; his girlfriend was in the same faculty as me and was classmates with my BD mates. Like how entangled is that?
Polytechnic:
I don’t think I was infatuated with a Chinese guy….not even Terence…or Ben. Ok let’s skip this stage.
If you had been following my entries you might have heard of Gabriel Wang, Bryan Lee and Joseph Tan. I wonder how Gabe is doing…I don’t even know how that awesome conservationist looks like. All I know that he made my heart flutter and his voice soothed my ears. He was endearing and he was a colleague.
Seriously, you spend at least half your adult life at work and there’s just no other place on Earth where you can meet and get to know people.
There won’t be any “So the point is…” in this entry because it’s just random and my mind was reeling on what to write on when the subject popped into my mind.
